Who We Are

The International Society for Commemoration, Memorials and other Monuments was founded in August 2014, marking the Centennial anniversary of the beginning of the First World War and the 75th anniversary of the Second World War, for the advancement and learning of commemoration, memorials and other monuments. Founded and presided by Dr. André M. Levesque, this society is composed of academics, professionals and others worldwide interested in learning more about military and civilian memorials, monuments and associated commemorative practices.
