Shown is an amazing sight of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Musical Ride completing rehearsal training in Ottawa, Ontario. The officer in charge along with 32 riders and horses compose the world-renowned Musical Ride – a tradition that dates back to 1901. The 2020 tour is scheduled to be held in communities across Nova Scotia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan from July 9th to September 23rd. With the risk of travel and large gatherings associated with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the RCMP has cancelled the first several shows of the 2020 Musical Ride tour season. The situation will continue to be monitored and more shows may be cancelled as a result.

The year 2020 will mark the 147th anniversary of the RCMP and celebrates 120 years since the first Musical Ride.
