Who are the Victims of Wars?

The Victims of Wars are everyone... They include those military members who served in operations and all those civilians - especially children - who suffered the ravages of the conflict and were affected by internal displacement. Shown in the photograph is "Victims of Wars" - a small grove and memorial boulder dedicated by the People of Manitoba "to the memory of all victims of wars" - "There is no way to peace. Peace is the way." This memorial - located on the Legislative Grounds, Winnipeg, Manitoba and dedicated on 6 August 1985 - is a constant reminder of the unintended consequences and impacts of wars.
On this day, 6 August 2022, we commemorate the 37th anniversary of the dedication of the memorial "Victims of War" in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
